November Engagements

20th - 'The Crossroad' Portadown
The hall at Edenderry was packed for the bi-weekly meeting of 'The Crossroad' gospel outreach ran by Connie and Clive Elliott. Solid Ground managed to pack 8 pieces into a thirty minute slot and included some new material, with recently purchased backing tracks from the National Quartet Convention in America. Mr Sean Mooney, originally from Ardoyne in North Belfast gave a personal word of testimony as to how God wonderfully saved him over 20 years ago. A great night of fellowship and praise!
14th - Ballykeel Baptist Church
After a major traffic diversion due to a bomb scare on the M1, Solid Ground eventually arrived at Ballykeel Baptist just in time for the evening gospel service. Taking part with Solid Ground were representatives of Slavic Gospel Association (SGA) who were celebrating 60 years of ministry. The daughter of the founder of SGA and a brother from Romania gave reports on the work as Solid Ground sang a number of suitable pieces.
10th - Magherafelt Independent Methodist
This was a Gospel Mission with the guest speaker being Pastor Denis Lyle from Lurgan Baptist Church. Pastor Lyle spoke from Mark 10 v 17-23, on the subject 'He almost had it all'. Solid Ground sang 3 pieces centered around the Cross work of Christ.
7th - Castlereagh Baptist Church
As Ashley was reminding us on Sunday night, Castlereagh for Solid Ground is always a place for refreshments thanks to Harry. Resident Pastor, Pastor Keith Giles spoke on the Lord's Prayer form Luke 11 v 1-13. Solid Ground sang 4 pieces - 'Reason Enough', 'When He Was On The Cross', 'At Calvary' and 'Had It Not Been'. The evening gospel service was followed by the 'Breaking of Bread' service.
