August & September Engagements

Sunday 30th September - Newtownards Baptist Church

Next engagement - Sunday 7th October at 7pm in Bethany Free Presbyterian Church, Portadown.
Sunday 23rd September - Ballykeel Baptist Church
With the Youth Fellowship having just returned from Kilkeel where they had their annual weekend the church at Ballykeel was packed.  Pastor Jackie Hughes spoke from mark 10 v 17-22 'Wealthy but Dissatisfied'.  Solid Ground sang 4 pieces including 'Masterpiece of Mercy'. Next engagement - Sunday 30th September at 7pm in Newtownards Baptist Church.
Sunday 2nd September - Dungannon Independent Methodist
The guest speaker at Dungannon on Sunday evening was Mr Billy Campbell (Missionary) from Cambodia who spoke of his work and calling over 50years.  It was also a special evening for the fellowship as they held a special time of prayer for their Pastor, Robert Maxwell who was due to attend hospital on Monday for surgery on his back in an attempt to relieve some of the extreme pain he suffers since his accident so time ago.  Solid Ground sang 4 pieces, "Thank Him For The Miracle", "The Longer I Serve Him", "No Other Word For Grace (but amazing)" and "One Holy Lamb".  Next engagement - Sunday 23rd September at 6.30pm in Ballykeel Baptist Church
Monday 6th August  - Bible Conference, Portrush
It was 6 years ago that Solid Ground first sang at the CPA Bible Conference in Portrush.  It was also there that the contact was made for the trips to Bournemouth, England and so it was good to return to an almost full Presbyterian Church in Portrush to be part of the outreach of the CPA.  Pastor Victor Maxwell was the guest speaker for the evening meetings.  His subject for the week was the book of Hebrews.  Next engagement - Sunday 2nd September 2012 at 7pm in Dungannon Independent Methodist church.
